The following information was released on the event’s website:One of the most iconic horror film series comes to Midsummer Scream for the first time ever this year, as Lionsgate brings SAW to the world’s biggest horror convention.On the floor of the Long Beach Convention Center, an incredible SAW experience invites Midsummer Scream guests to explore the horrific, unnerving, and unforgettable world of the SAW movies. It’s open to guests all three days of the event.And on Saturday, July 29, special guests who helped bring SAW to the screen will take part in a panel presentation that offers exclusive mind-bending glimpses into the upcoming film SAW X, coming to movie theaters this October from Lionsgate.Lionsgate teased: “The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.”It’s going to be really interesting to see how Tobin Bell’s Jigsaw is utilized in the movie because the character has been dead a long time.The cast for Saw X also includes Renata Vaca (Midnight Family), Paulette Hernandez (Crown of Tears), Joshua Okamoto (Control-Z), Octavio Hinojosa (Come Play With Me), Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman) and Michael Beach (Dahmer).From Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, the new film is slated for release on October 27, 2023.
