Seth Rollins Makes a Statement, Jey Uso Doesn’t Back Down, and More Highlights You Missed on ‘WWE Raw’
Apr 8, 2025
WrestleMania is just 12 days away, and Monday’s WWE Raw from Minneapolis delivered a loaded episode full of contract drama, brutal matches, and the greatest spear ever performed by a living human. From Seth Rollins giving Paul Heyman a warning to Jey Uso finding his fire, the road to the Grandest Stage of Them All is heating up. Here’s everything you missed.
Triple Threat Confirmed: Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley Will Collide at WrestleMania
Adam Pearce tried to keep things clean after last week’s chaos, but instead introduced more of it. In the ring with Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky, he brought out Bianca Belair, and then awkwardly reintroduced Rhea Ripley, mistakenly calling her a member of The Judgment Day—oops.
Pearce took the blame for assigning Belair as the special ref last week, and announced a Triple Threat for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania. Belair accepted the challenge, fired shots at Ripley, and signed the contract. Ripley returned fire and tossed the folder at her. Iyo tried to play peacemaker, got pie-faced, and responded with a springboard missile dropkick that laid out both opponents before signing the deal herself. That was cool.
Gunther may have bloodied Jimmy Uso last week, but this time he got something even more unsettling: a fully locked-in Jey Uso. Jey entered through the crowd and cut a raw, emotional promo, addressing Gunther directly. He said his mom called him demanding to know why he’d let Jimmy get beaten, and discussed the shame of not protecting his brother, and the fear he used to feel, but then something changed as he told the Austrian: “I’m not afraid of you no more.”
This might have been the greatest performance of Jey’s career on the mic. Jey promised to win the World Heavyweight Championship, not just for himself, but for Jimmy and their whole family. Gunther didn’t have a single word in response.
The Intercontinental Title Four-Way Gets Messy (In the Best Way)
It’s official: Bron Breakker vs. Penta vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania. In the meantime, Balor played mind games backstage, pushing Dom into a solo match against Penta to “prove he’s not a loser.” Dom got some backup from Carlito, but it didn’t help. Penta pinned him clean after a competitive match. Post-match, chaos ensued as Carlito, Breakker, Dom, and Balor all got physical—Breakker even speared everyone not named Penta, including what is one of the greatest spears in history, as he barrelled down the entrance way to take out Carlito, doing a full front flip in the process. This was awesome.

Seth Rollins Warns Paul Heyman, and CM Punk Pays the Price
In the main event segment, Seth Rollins interrupted Paul Heyman to say what we’ve all been thinking: Roman Reigns and CM Punk don’t care about him. He dissected both men’s past betrayals and even brought up Heyman’s children, reminding everyone of the time Reigns let Heyman get destroyed at MSG.
Rollins then offered to “remove” Heyman from the equation with one stomp, for his own good. CM Punk ran in for the save, but Rollins recovered and stomped him anyway. He then stared down Heyman after stopping short of stomping him too and said, “Now you owe me a favor.” Intriguing, and a much-needed jolt of importance for Rollins in this feud.
