Showtime’s Hit Series Returns In February

Every now and then, a series truly surprises folks and becomes a runaway hit. That happened a few years ago with the first season of Showtime’s “Yellowjackets.” Now, as we enter Season 3, can the series keep its momentum going?

As seen in the trailer for Season 3, “Yellowjackets” follows the dual stories of the soccer team who survived a plane crash in the wilderness as well as the survivors 25 years later. After the brutal winter in Season 2, we now follow the survivors as they enter summer, which brings all sorts of new drama. 
The series features an ensemble cast that includes Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, Simone Kessell, Elijah Wood, Hilary Swank, and Joel McHale. “Yellowjackets” is co-created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. The duo also showruns the series.

“Yellowjackets” Season 3 debuts on February 14. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
In season three, as summer arrives, the Yellowjackets face a fragile victory—the brutal winter that nearly claimed them is finally behind them, but distrust in leadership and tension within the team jeopardize their chances of being rescued. In the present, long-buried secrets from their pasts begin to surface. As the women fight to keep their lives from unraveling, they must confront a chilling question: who are they really, and what dark truths are they hiding from each other and themselves?
