SILO Season 2 Adds Steve Zahn to Cast and Gets a Premiere Date — GeekTyrant

During Silo’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, it was confirmed that the upcoming second season of the dystopian series would be premiering on Apple TV+ in November. It was also announced that Steve Zahn has joined the cast of the series, and he will bring an all-new dynamic to the sci-fi storyline. Silo star Rebecca Ferguson previously talked about the upcoming season teasing that its going to take things to another level. She said: “Season 2 is dark. It’s a bonkers exciting season. It is huge, man.”Hugh Howey, the author of the series, previously shared his thoughts on Season 2 saying: “I’ve seen season two and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen.” The series is based on Howey’s trilogy of dystopian novels, and it tells the story of the “last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and any who try to find out face fatal consequences.”After its sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and residents die mysteriously, engineer Juliette “seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will. She starts to uncover shocking secrets and the truth about the silo.”When previously talking about Season 2, Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, said in a statement: “It has been enormously fulfilling to see the engrossing, atmospheric and beautifully crafted sci-fi epic Silo quickly become Apple’s number one drama series.”He added: “As audiences around the world have become gripped by the mysteries and conspiracies buried within this fascinating subterranean world, viewership only continues to climb, and we are so excited for more secrets of the silo to be revealed in season two.” The series was created and written by Graham Yost (Band of Brothers, Justified), and he shared: “We cannot wait for audiences around the world to immerse themselves in the epic world we have created to bring Hugh Howey’s novels to life.”He continued: “Apple has believed in our vision from day one and it’s an honor to have the opportunity to dig deeper into this story and peel back the layers to our characters in the Silo.” Ferguson is joined in the series by a great ensemble cast that includes Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones and Tim Robbins.Silo Season 2 is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on November 15th.
