Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ Prequel Series Returns February 23

Jan 21, 2025

There are a lot of big movie stars who’ve made the transition from film to TV in the last 15 years to the point where it’s not surprising anymore to see anyone from Matthew McConaughey (“True Detective”) to Sly Stallone (“Tulsa King”) to Julia Roberts (“Gaslit”) showing up on a series, lending credibility and prestige to a streamer previous lacking in those departments.
So it wasn’t too surprising to see two iconic veteran actors in Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren showing up in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel series “1923” back in 2022, and in its upcoming second season scheduled to premiere February 23.  Their appearances are different however.  Not only have these two performers graced the silver screen for countless decades.  They are also two stars that are still arguably at the top of their game.  Their decision to star in “1923” is a reflection of the quality of Taylor Sheridan’s material.
