The Best Superhero Series That Blows Away the MCU Unveils Season 4 Teaser Trailer and Release Month

Oct 12, 2025

Prime Video has given Invincible fans their first look at the upcoming fourth season of the animated superhero series with a first teaser trailer released at NYCC. During the Invincible panel, which had co-creator Robert Kirkman and stars Steven Yeun and Gillian Jacobs in attendance, the Burger Mart-inspired trailer announced that the highly acclaimed series will return to screens in March 2026.
That was not the only surprise for fans, as it was announced that Lee Pace is joining the latest season in the role of Thragg, a character that is finally making his long-awaited debut in Season 4. As one of the biggest villains of the comic books, Thragg is a formidable foe that will bring a whole new level of violent showdowns over the course of the season. Invincible has been one of the most consistent performers when it comes to its reviews. After three seasons, the series still holds an incredible 99% Tomatometer score, with Season 2 and 3 on 100%. Audiences have also been very positive about the show from the start, with the aggregate series score sitting on 91%. Will it be able to maintain this throughout its fourth season? It would not be the biggest surprise. Starring the likes of not only Yeun and Jacobs, but Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, and Zachary Quinto, Prime Video previously announced that Matthew Rhys will join in on the fun in the upcoming season. No stranger to voice acting, the former Perry Mason star recently appeared as Nite Owl in the two-part animated Watchmen movie. He also took on the role of Riley Greene in the animated HBO Max hit Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, and has appeared in BoJack Horseman, Archer, and The Wingfeather Saga.

Invincible fans were given plenty to celebrate in July when Prime Video confirmed that even before Season 4’s debut, the series will be returning for a fifth season. Considering the huge success of the series, which has put other superhero franchises to shame, the early renewal was not a surprise. Along with its critical success and strong viewership, the show has also gained plenty of awards nominations over the last three seasons, including Emmy nods for Steven Yeun and Sterling K.
