The Cigarette Featured, Reviews Film Threat

Aug 8, 2024

The surgeon general has issued a warning for severe chills after watching the barnstorming blood-shedder The Cigarette, directed by subterranean cinema veteran Zachary Snygg. Lead actress Jasmin Flores conceived the story for the movie and co-wrote the screenplay with Snygg.
The movie opens with a woman (Darian Crane) walking outside, talking on the phone about an awful date she went on. She is viciously attacked by a deranged man (Patrick Kennedy) who cuts her hand off with a knife. He stabs more people until being taken down by an off-duty cop (P. William), who recognizes the man as an old high school classmate.

“…she will be paid per cigarette given out, getting $500 for adults, $3000 for teenagers, and $10000 for small children.”
In the city, Jasmin (Jasmin Flores) is being kicked out of where she was living by her now ex-boyfriend Steve (Luke Couzens). She tries moving back in with her Dad (Tom Cikoski) and his wife Mary (Lauren Gordon Cohen), but they have already rented her old room out to Stan (Kairon King). She goes to a bar to get drunk and begs bartender Sarah (Sarah Marable) for a place to crash for a few days.
Soon, Jasmin runs into the mysterious Omari (Jon Arthur), who has an unusual marketing job to offer her. She is to walk around in public, pretending to smoke a prop cigarette. When someone approaches her to ask to bum a cigarette, her job is to give them one of the treated smokes from the special metal cigarette case. She is also instructed to walk away as quickly as possible.
Through an app on her phone, she will be paid per cigarette given out, getting $500 for adults, $3000 for teenagers, and $10000 for small children. As the money starts rolling in, horrible murders start occurring throughout New York City, as perfectly normal people suddenly turn into deranged killers after smoking tainted cigarettes.
