The Night Agent Becomes One of Netflix’s Most-Watched Shows in Just 3 Weeks
Apr 24, 2023
The Night Agent, a political thriller recently released on Netflix, has taken the streaming world by storm, breaking records and achieving significant milestones. According to a report by TheWrap, in just three weeks since its premiere, the show has garnered 515.57 million hours viewed and over 62 million total views. It has earned a spot on Netflix’s Top 10 English-language TV shows, currently ranking ninth. Although it initially had the third-best start on Netflix after Wednesday and Dahmer, it is now eyeing The Witcher, which holds the eighth position with 541.01 million hours of viewing. As Netflix only counts the first four weeks of a show’s availability, The Night Agent still has one week left to increase its success further.
The series is adapted from Matthew Quirk’s novel, and features a cast led by Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan, with other notable actors such as Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoeni Raei, Enrique Murciano, D.B. Woodside, and Hong Chau. The show’s plot revolves around an FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, handling a phone that never rings. However, one fateful night, the agent receives a call that sets off a chain of events leading to a dangerous conspiracy that reaches all the way to the Oval Office.
