‘The Rehearsal’ Season 2 Trailer: Nathan Fielder Returns To Solve Airline Safety On April 20
Apr 3, 2025
“I’ve been studying commercial aviation disasters as a hobby.” Lol, that’s the gist of the second season of Nathan Fielder’s brilliantly bizarre simulation and recreation series, “The Rehearsal.”
In the series, Fielder plays a character based on himself who helps ordinary people face life’s anxieties by staging a rehearsal and a simulation of that event. In season one, it was helping people deal with the worry of difficult conversations they had with friends and loved ones they were afraid to broach.

It’s much more ambitious in season two, including airline safety and preventing plane crashes.
Bizarre, absurdist, ridiculous and hilarious odd, “The Rehearsal” returns for its six-episode second season on Sunday, April 20, on HBO following the airing of “The Righteous Gemstones.” Episodes will be available on Max Sundays beginning at 10:30 p.m. ET.
Here’s the official synopsis:
THE REHEARSAL follows one man’s journey to reduce the uncertainties of everyday life. With a construction crew, a legion of actors, and seemingly unlimited resources, Fielder helps ordinary people prepare for life’s biggest moments by “rehearsing” them in carefully crafted simulations of his own design. In season two, the urgency of Fielder’s project grows as he decides to put his resources toward an issue that affects us all.
