The Russos’ Prime Video Franchise Expands To India For New Series

While the original “Citadel” series seemed a bit like a bust, with its middling viewership and critical reviews, Prime Video is still pushing forward with its original plan of expanding the franchise worldwide. We saw that recently with the release of “Citadel: Diana,” an Italian take on the spy franchise. And now, we have “Citadel: Honey Bunny.”

As seen in the trailer, “Citadel: Honey Bunny” is the franchise’s expansion into India. The show follows the story of Bunny, a stuntman who hires struggling actress, Honey, for a dangerous assignment. Years later, the estranged duo has to reunite and fight against more bad guys to protect their daughter. 
The series stars Varun Dhawan, Samantha, Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majmundar. ‘Honey Bunny’ comes from directors Raj and DK, who co-wrote the series alongside Sita R Menon.

Here’s the synopsis:
When stuntman Bunny recruits struggling actress Honey for a side gig, they are hurled into a high-stakes world of action, espionage and betrayal. Years later, as their dangerous past catches up, the estranged Honey and Bunny must reunite and fight to protect their young daughter Nadia.
