The ‘Sex And The City’ Revival Series Returns To Max On June 22
Jun 1, 2023
After “Sex And The City 2” in 2010, no one expected Carrie Bradshaw and her friends to return to the small or big screens. But that’s exactly what happened in 2021 when “And Just Like That…” premiered on HBO Max (now Max), albeit without Kim Cattrall‘s Samantha Jones in tow. Fans of the original series welcomed the return of television’s favorite clique of NYC women, but critics weren’t as enthused. Maybe Season Two will be different?

That’s what Max hopes for, as “And Just Like That…” returns to the streamer later this month. The eleven-episode second season sees Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis reprise their roles as Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they adjust to NYC in their fifties. So will it get any easier, and will Carrie ever bury the hatchet with Cattrall’s Samantha? Signs point to yes, but don’t expect anything conclusive in this batch of episodes.
“And Just Like That…” also stars Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, and Evan Handler. Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, and Alexa Swinton round out the main cast.
Michael Patrick King returns as showrunner for the new season of “And Just Like That…” He also frontlines the executive producer squad with Parker, Dvis, Nixon, John Melfi, Julie Rottenberg, and Elisa Zuritsky. Directors this season include King, Nixon, Rottenberg, and Ry Russo-Young. King, Rottenberg, and Zuritsky lead the season’s writing team with Samantha Irby, Susan Fales-Hill, Lucas Froehlich, and Rachel Palmer.
So what new challenges do Carrie and the gang face in Season 2 of “And Just Like That…”? Find out when the new season premieres exclusively on Max on June 22. Watch a trailer for the series below.
