The series finale of The Winchesters will air on March 7.
The CW
The Winchesters is a Supernatural prequel produced by Jensen Ackles. The series’ story primarily focuses on the early days of Sam and Dean’s parents, John and Mary. The series follows the couple’s love story while trying to save the world. The series finale is written by Robbie Thompson and directed by John Showalter and will air on Mar. 7.
Months after the long-running CW series Supernatural ended, Jensen Ackles announced that he would be producing the show’s prequel, The Winchesters. The series received a pilot order from The CW in June 2021. It was also announced that Ackles would serve as executive producers through the production company Chaos Machine Productions.
The series premiered last October 2022, and Ackles made a physical appearance as he reprised his role as Dean Winchester. The first season of the series is now down to its last three episodes, and it is still unclear if the series will be renewed for a second season. The Winchesters showrunner Robbie Thompson is still uncertain if they’re getting a second season, but as of the moment, their main agenda is to successfully wrap season 1.
Robbie told SFX Magazine as reported by CBR, “It is a time of uncertainty for all of us. We don’t know. But what we do know is the task at hand in front of us and we’re really focused on putting forth the best story that we can.”
