Trailer Drops for Saban Films’ Savage New Action Thriller RELENTLESS — GeekTyrant

Saban Films has unleashed the first trailer for Relentless, a wild action thriller that looks ready to rattle anyone who thinks they know where a home invasion story is headed. Previously known as Syphon, I caught it at FilmQuest earlier this year, and this movie is absolutely unrestrained. As I said in my review, “It’s a heightened, surreal, and sometimes chaotic experience where the volume knob on reality has been cranked all the way up. Nothing in this movie feels natural, but that’s also what makes it fascinating.” That energy hits hard in the new trailer, which gives just enough of a tease without spoiling the insanity this story unleashes. The setup follows a homeless man who breaks into the home of a wealthy target. On the surface it seems like another break in thriller, but Relentless pushes everything to an extreme as it digs into the man’s hidden motive. The result is brutal and unnerving. As I noted in my review, “The fights are messy, unrefined, and completely raw, not polished Hollywood choreography, but desperate, painful brawls that feel alarmingly savage.”The film is written and directed by Tom Botchii and stars Jeffrey Decker and Shuhei Kinoshita, whose performances drive the story into darker and stranger territory as things spiral out of control. It becomes a violent descent as it takes an unhinged level of brutality to uncover what he is really after. The movie will be released on January 9th. 2026.
