Tune In For Henry Cavill’s Final Turn As Geralt Of Rivia On July 27

The first five episodes of “The Witcher” Season 3 premiered on Netflix last month, beginning the send-off of Henry Cavill‘s Geralt of Rivia. But don’t worry, Geralt will return, albeit with Liam Hemsworth in the role. There’s still three episodes left with Cavill, though, and they hit the streamer later this month.

Volume 2 of “The Witcher” Season 3 picks up where things left off, with the show continuing to adapt the second book in Andrzej Sapkowski‘s series, “The Book Of Contempt.” Geralt has Ciri in hiding at the fortress in Aretuza, but they soon realize that may be the most dangerous place on the entire Content.
Here’s an official synopsis for “The Witcher” Season 3 Volume 2:
As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.
Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, Myanna Buring, Eamon Farren, Mimî M Khayisa, Royce Pierrseon, and Anna Shaffer join Cavill for the last three episodes of Season 3. Also on board: Mecia Simson, Tom Canton, Mahesh Jadu, Graham McTavish, Cassie Clare, Hugh Skinner, Wilson Mbomio, and Lars Mikkelsen.  Terence Maynard, Simon Callow, Liz Carr, Therica Wilson-Read, Safiyya Ingar, Rochelle Rose, Robbie Amell, Jeremy Crawford, and Bart Edw also star.
Stephen Surjik, Gandja Monteiro, Loni Peristere, and Bola Ogun direct the rest of “The Witcher” Season 3. Writers include Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Tania Lotia, Haily Hall, Matthew D’Ambrosio, Clare Higgins, Rae Benjamin, and Troy Dangerfield.
