Where To Watch All the New Year’s Eve 2025 TV Specials
Jan 1, 2025
For as long as we can remember, people have been gathering on Dec. 31 to say out with the old and in with the new, toasting in the start of another year with friends and loved ones. Of course, while many people like to go out and party, others like to stay home and watch the festivities from the comfort and safety of their living rooms. This year, there’s no shortage of specials you can stream and watch while dining on wine and cheese, and we’ve compiled a list of some of the best the networks have to offer, which are also being streamed on the likes of Max, Paramount+, and Hulu.
Kicking things off is Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Coverage for the annual celebration begins at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, and – in addition to Seacrest – also features Rita Ora, Dayanara Torres co-hosting from Puerto Rico, with Jeannie Mai and Rob Gronkowski on West Coast duties. A whole host of performances are lined up, including Carrie Underwood, the Jonas Brothers, TLC, Lenny Kravitz, Alanis Morissette, and Blake Shelton.

Perhaps one of the most anticipated specials this year is New Year’s Eve Live with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper. The duo is returning for the eighth consecutive year, and it has been confirmed that, yes, they will be allowed to drink during the broadcast, which should make for some interesting commentary. The festivities begin at 8 p.m. ET on CNN, with a simulcast streaming on Max. Performances this year include 50 Cent, Sting, Meghan Trainor, Shania Twain, Diplo, Lil Jon, Mickey Guyton and Patti LaBelle, with special guest appearances by Whitney Cummings, Amy Sedaris, Sasheer Zamata, Ziwe and Adam Devine.
NBC will take a look back at the year that was with their special A Toast to 2024 with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. The retrospective event runs from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on the network, and features guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, George Lopez, Michael Bublé, and Jeff Goldblum. Interviews include such familiar names as Dateline’s Keith Morrison and Josh Mankiewicz, Kristin Chenoweth, David Alan Grier, Joel McHale, and Martha Stewart.
Finally, if you want to take things old school, there’s the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop live from Times Square. The broadcast begins at 6 p.m. ET, and will be streamed live on TimesSquareNYC.org, as well as on the Times Square X account, Hulu, fuboTV, and YouTube TV.
Needless to say, there’s no shortage of content for you to help bring in 2025, so pick one to enjoy, or flip back and forth to watch some of your favorite celebrities say farewell to 2024.
