It’s been a long and challenging journey for Marvel star Jeremy Renner since the insane accident that almost took his life, but the actor is not only back on his feet but also back in action. After suffering serious injuries during a snowplow accident over a year ago and undergoing surgery, Renner spent most of the past year recovering and sharing updates about his healing process. However, the Hawkeye actor is officially back to work, currently filming the third season of The Mayor of Kingstown. While fans have been eager to know if Renner will ever reprise his role as Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor recently gave an encouraging response. In a recent interview with ET Online, Jeremy Renner expressed his enthusiasm for a potential return to the MCU, saying, “I’m always game. I’m gonna be strong enough, that’s for sure. I’ll be ready. All those guys come to my bedside, and they’ve been with me all along through this recovery, so… if they want me, they could have me. It would be something.” Renner’s statement certainly will bring hope to fans who have been wanting to see him return. It would be pretty awesome to see him return to the role after everything that he had gone through. So, if Marvel wanted to continue to explore the character, he’s up for returning! During the interview, Renner also talked about his upcoming Super Bowl commercial, saying: “I had a commercial career, then I got a movie star career. I never had an ad in the big game … I’ll be watching this one, and I’m so stoked because they’re sometimes the highlight of the Super Bowl. Some games aren’t always the greatest, but the ads are always the greatest. It’s nice to be part of that, thinking [I can] check that off the box of things I want to do in my life.”So, fans will have to keep a lookout for Renner’s ad during the Big Game! Renner’s journey from his accident to his recovery, and return to work is inspiring, and his eagerness to return to the MCU is sure to excite fans. As the MCU continues to expand and move forward, the possibility of seeing Renner back in action as Hawkeye is a thrilling prospect.
