James Gunn Hilariously Responds to Fake SUPERMAN Set Photo Spreading Online — GeekTyrant

Mar 16, 2024

There’s been a fake photo spreading on the internet that features David Corenswet all decked out as Superman on the set of James Gunn’s Superman. The photo is clearly not real, but there are people out there falling for it. Anyway, Gunn hilariously responded to the photo when fans shared it with him on social media asking if it was real. This is what the filmmaker said:“Let’s see. Can the man on the left take a photo holding an amorphous black blob while looking through an eyeball on the front of his cap? Can the man on the right’s torso grow out of his right hip and can he be stupid enough to wear his pants with the drawstring in the back? Are David Corenswet’s hands made of wax without any bones or veins? And might Superman’s trunks be knitted with yarn? Ask yourself these questions and I’m certain you’ll be able to answer the question on your own.”You can see the image below for yourself if you haven’t yet to see what Gunn is talking about. The film is currently shooting, and it’s going to be really cool to see how it turns out. Superman will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”Superman also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt / Mr. Terrific, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica, aka The Engineer, Sara Sampaioas Eve Teschmacher, and Terence Rosemore as Otis.Superman will launch the movie part of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. It’s scheduled for a theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
