Apr 21, 2024

Five Nights at Freddy’s ended up being a great and fun horror movie, and it ended up a big success for Blumhouse. The studio had been developing that first film for a very long time, and their time, patience, and effort paid off!Five Nights at Freddy’s was Blumhouse’s highest-grossing movie of all time! Not long after the movie was released in theaters, Blumhouse announced that they were developing a sequel. That sequel is now moving ahead full steam and the production company announced that the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will hit theaters in the fall of 2025.Yep, the killer animatronic will return just in time for the Halloween season of that year! The announcement came at CinemaCon last week, and it came shortly after producer Jason Blum teased a behind-the-scenes photo from inside Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is creating all of the animatronics for the horror franchise. They did such an awesome job with the first film! In the original movie, “After accepting a security guard job from Steve (Matthew Lillard), Mike (Josh Hutcherson) discovers an abandoned restaurant may actually be haunted by murderous animatronics.”There’s no information on the plot of the sequel, but with the games that the films are based on, there’s a lot of different directions they can go with the story. Hutcherson previously shared an update on the sequel, saying: “I know they’re in the process right now of nailing down the story, and they want to get going as soon as possible. Obviously, the fans are amazing and die hard. For me to be a part of it was was so cool and phenomenal.”The actor went on to talk about wanting the film to connect with audiences and talked about his excitement about getting back on set to shoot: “We hoped it would connect with audiences.”He continued: “But I don’t think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to really connect the way that it did. I’m dying to get back on set. Emma Tammi, our director, was fantastic, and it was such a fun world to play in. I’m excited to see what they are doing next.”So are the rest of the fans! What are some elements from that game that you would like to see in the story for the sequel?
