Apple’s iPad Pro “Crush!” Ad is Pissing Artists Off

May 15, 2024

Apple recently announced it’s new iPad Pro and they released an ad for it, and it’s pissing off a lot of artists.Honestly, I have no idea what Apple was thinking when they released this. It’s insane that they thought this ad was a good idea. The commercial features an industrial press literally crushing a TV, musical instruments, art supplies, video game cabinet, cameras, books and more before turning all that into the iPad.The ad was shared by Apple CEO Tim Cook, who said: “Just imagine all the things it’ll be used to create.”The ad has sparked outrage online and Hugh Grant wrapped up all the thoughts in a post he shared on X, saying: “The destruction of the human experience. Courtesy of Silicon Valley.”I’ve been a fan of Apple since I was a kid. I grew up using Apple technology, and they’ve always been pretty smart with their advertising. But this… this was a huge brain fart. You can check out the ad below along with some of the things other people are saying online. Let us know what you think about the ad!
