Sabrina Carpenter Music Video Featuring Boyfriend Barry Keoghan
Jun 8, 2024
Sabrina Carpenter released the music video for her newest single, “Please Please Please,” on Thursday afternoon, and the new song’s visuals feature Carpenter’s rumored real-life boyfriend, Barry Keoghan.
The video, directed by Bardia Zeinali, shows Keoghan repeatedly getting arrested following incidents of robbing banks and fighting other men, only for Carpenter to continue returning to jail to collect her boyfriend upon his release.
“Heartbreak is one thing / my ego’s another,” Carpenter sings in the song’s chorus. “I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherfucker / Please, please, please.”
The video ends with Carpenter handcuffing her boyfriend to a chair and taping over his mouth.
Jack Antonoff, the Bleachers lead singer and frequent Taylor Swift collaborator, produced the single. Carpenter announced earlier this week that her sixth album, Short n Sweet, will arrive Aug. 23. “Please Please Please” is the second single, following viral hit “Espresso,” released in April.
Carpenter and Keoghan both appeared on the red carpet at last month’s Met Gala and were photographed together, and they both walked the carpet at Vanity Fair‘s Oscars party in March, posing separately. Back in March, Keoghan was spotted at the Singapore leg of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, on which Carpenter was an opener. They were also seen together at Carpenter’s recent Coachella performance in April.
