Further images from the filming of Superman have now revealed our first look at Mad Max: Fury Road and Renfield star Nicholas Hoult as the DC supervillain Lex Luthor. These latest images from the Superman reboot, which is currently filming with many of the principal actors present, reveal Hoult as Luthor, who sports a bald head which has been blighted by some mysterious cuts and bruises. These images from set are just the latest in what has been a cavalcade of reveals, with David Corenswet’s Man of Steel having now been revealed in all his glory alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. We have also now seen what the likes of Edi Gathegi will look like as the superhero Mister Terrific, as well as many of the Daily Planet staff, including Wendell Pierce as Perry White and Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen.

Hoult’s Lex Luthor appears to be covered in cuts and bruises in the images, and while we do not know how exactly he finds himself injured, based on the previous images, it’s very possible that the villain finds himself caught up in the destruction that Superman seems to be responding to. Could this be the first time that Lex sees his nemesis Superman in action?

The DCU reboot is all set to be led by Pearl and Hollywood star David Corenswet as Clark Kent, aka Superman alongside The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Superman will be the beginning of the new DCU, with projects such as Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a Swamp Thing reboot, a movie centered around the superhero team The Authority, and a Teen Titans movie, now in production for the big screen, with Creature Commandos, Peacemaker season 2, a Green Lanterns show, and a Wonder Woman prequel series all in the works for the small screen.
