Streaming TV Ratings, June 3-9, 2024

Jul 10, 2024

A week after making its first appearance on the streaming charts, former Showtime drama Your Honor has rocketed to No. 1 overall.

The series starring Bryan Cranston nearly tripled its viewing time on Netflix and Paramount+ in the week of June 9, grabbing 1.53 billion minutes (vs. 544 million the week before) and bumping Bridgerton out of the top overall spot. Your Honor had its Netflix premiere on May 31.

Bridgerton, meanwhile, fell by about 42 percent week to week and finished with 806 million minutes of viewing — a figure that’s likely to go up in the next set of rankings, which will include the release of the Netflix show’s final season three episodes. It finished ninth overall and third among original series, behind Eric (926 million minutes of viewing) and Sweet Tooth (874 million).

Star Wars series The Acolyte, which premiered June 4, had 488 million minutes of viewing for its first two episodes — good for seventh among original series in the U.S. but below the premiere week numbers for Ahsoka (829 million minutes) and Andor (624 million). (Disney+ had earlier said the show’s first episode was the biggest premiere of 2024 worldwide on the streamer.) Netflix’s YA series Geek Girl (515 million minutes) and Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown (306 million minutes) also made their Nielsen chart debuts.

Netflix’s Hit Man, directed by Richard Linklater and starring Glen Powell, easily topped the movie rankings with 984 million minutes following its June 7 streaming premiere. The French shark thriller Under Paris premiered with 636 million minutes of watch time.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings cover viewing on TV sets only and don’t include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences, not those in other countries. The top streaming titles for June 3-9, 2024, are below.
