Crisis On Infinite Earths – Part One Clip

Jan 9, 2024

Summary

DC’s Tomorrowverse story arc, which includes films like Batman: The Long Halloween and Justice League: Warworld, has been well-received by critics for its storytelling. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One adapts a beloved mid-80s comic book crossover storyline, featuring altered versions of DC superheroes and a multiversal crisis. The film features a talented cast, including returning actors and new additions like Matt Bomer and Zachary Quinto, and will be available for purchase on streaming services and in limited edition packaging.

DC’s Tomorrowverse story arc begins to come to a close with Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One. The animated film builds off of four years of storytelling that began with Superman: Man of Tomorrow in 2020. Other notable Tomorrowverse stories include 2021’s Batman: The Long Halloween parts one and two and 2023’s Justice League: Warworld. The series has taken a wide range of iconic DC characters to new and unexpected places and has largely been rewarded with a strong critical reception of its storytelling.

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One is one of three films set to cap off the Tomorrowverse with an ambitious adaptation of DC’s beloved mid-80s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” comic book crossover storyline. While there may be harsh realities to a “Crisis on Infinite Earths” reread, the event left an indelible mark on multiversal storytelling, and has been revisited in several mediums (the DC TV Arrowverse adapted the story in 2019). Screen Rant is excited to share a clip from the latest telling, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One. Take a look below:

More About Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths – Part One

Like Justice League: Warworld’s multiverse twist, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One’s timeline-hopping storyline provides opportunities for fascinatingly altered versions of the best-known DC superheroes. How those heroes will save the day will be exciting for longtime DC fans and Tomorrowverse newcomers as well; the film’s synopsis promises hundreds of superheroes from multiple Earths coming together to prevent an antimatter Armageddon. The film will feature Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and more, as well as their multiversal counterparts.

Fittingly, as the Tomorrowverse movies are ending their reign as the premier DC animated arc, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One features new and returning cast members of the highest caliber. Returning actors include Darren Criss as Superman, Stana Katic as Wonder Woman, and Jensen Ackles as Batman. Matt Bomer, Meg Donnelly, Jimmi Simpson, and Zachary Quinto join the cast as The Flash, Supergirl, Green Arrow, and Lex Luthor, respectively.

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One will be available for purchase on streaming services as well as on 4K Ultra HD in limited edition Steelbook packaging. Physical and digital versions of the film alike feature the special features “Crisis Prime(r)”, a featurette in which the filmmakers behind the Tomorrowverse discuss their shared vision, and “The Selfless Speedster”, detailing The Flash’s importance to the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” comic series as well as the process of bringing the character into the animated film. Exclusive to the digital release is an advance clip from Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Two.

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One will be available for purchase on digital platforms including Prime Vidoe and AppleTV on January 9th. It will be available on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-Ray online and in-store starting January 23rd, and can be pre-ordered now.
