Deadpool & Wolverine Popcorn Bucket Revealed, Hugh Jackman & Fans React With …Excitement
Jun 4, 2024
Summary
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds return as Wolverine and Deadpool in the highly anticipated MCU debut.
Get ready for a hilariously designed popcorn bucket featuring Wolverine’s mask and a unique buttery twist.
The film brings the beloved characters into the MCU to face off against a powerful mutant and more familiar faces.
Deadpool & Wolverine has so much for audiences to be excited about. Hugh Jackman is returning as Wolverine. The titular heroes are finally coming to the MCU. And… a questionable popcorn bucket? Following the release of Dune 2, which saw AMC release an unintentionally naughty popcorn bucket, Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) quickly announced that the popcorn bucket for Deadpool & Wolverine would make Dune’s sexy sandworm feel tame by comparison. Well, Deadpool & Wolverine’s exclusive popcorn bucket has finally been revealed and Reynolds was absolutely right.
Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) revealed the popcorn bucket on X/Twitter. Set to the iconic sound of 2001: A Space Odyssey’s ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra’, the 45-second-long video teases audiences with the bucket’s curves and edges, before revealing the hilarious design in its entirety. Modeled on Wolverine’s comic accurate costume, the bucket features the character’s iconic yellow mask with pure white eyes. While that sounds normal enough, the popcorn is taken from Wolverine’s open mouth which, well, has a tongue.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the final shot of the trailer is a close up on the bucket’s face, with melted butter rolling down its face. If you hadn’t guessed it already by looking at it, the bucket reminds you it was “designed by Deadpool”, with the character’s signature scribbled on the outside.

Knowing exactly what the audience were thinking, Jackman shared the post with the caption, “Don’t try to butter me up.” Supporting Jackman’s campaign for PG use of the popcorn bucket, the trailer closes on the words “Please enjoy your popcorn responsibly.” Ryan Reynolds also shared the video on X/Twitter, and poked fun at audiences obsession with Freudian popcorn buckets. His tweet read:

As well as a wave of amorous fans desperate for a popcorn bucket, Deadpool & Wolverine also brings its titular heroes into the thrall of the MCU. Thanks to the Time Variance Authority (first featured in Loki Season 1), the characters must face off against Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), an omega level mutant, and the twin sister of Charles Xavier. Deadpool & Wolverine are also bringing many of the franchise’s beloved characters with them, including Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Dopinder (Karan Soni), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Peter (Rob Delaney), and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand).
Deadpool & Wolverine
releases in theaters on July 26, 2024.
