Emma Corrin & Clive Owen Star In FX Limited Series On November 14

Sep 7, 2023

FX has quite the slate of new releases on its Fall TV calendar, with “American Horror Story: Delicate” and the latest season of “Fargo” among then. But don’t sleep on “A Murder At The End Of The World,” a seven-episode limited series starring Emma Corrin and Clive Owen.
The set-up may sounds like something out of a nordic noir that Lisbeth Salander would be at home in: a young female hacker/amateur sleuth gets invited with other guests to a billionaire’s retreat where a killer’s on the prowl.

Here’s the official synopsis for “A Murder At The End Of The World,” courtesy of FX:
A Murder at the End of the World is a mystery series with a new kind of detective at the helm — a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker named “Darby Hart.” Darby and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use all of her skills to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life.
“A Murder At The End Of The World” also stars Harris Dickinson, Brit Marling, Alice Braga, Joan Chen, Raúl Esparza, Jermaine Fowler, and Ryan J. Haddad.  Pegah Ferydoni, Javed Khan, Louis Cancelmi, Edoardo Ballerini, Britian Seibert, Christopher Gurr, Kellan Tetlow, Daniel Olson, and Neal Huff round out the main cast.
Marling creates, writes and directs the series with her longtime collaborator Zal Batmanglij. The pair also worked together on Netflix‘s short-lived cult series “The OA.” Marlin and Batmanglij also executive produce “A Murder At The End Of The WOrld” with Andrea Sperling, Melanie Marnich, and Nicky Paluga. Marnchi also helps write the series with Rebecca Roanhorse.  FX Productions leads producing.
So will “A Murder At The End Of The World” be a derivative murder mystery, or something fresh and out there from Marling and Batmanglij? Find out when the series premieres on FX on November 14. Watch a new trailer for the limited series below.
