According to Netflix, Julianne Moore is joined by Milly Alcock and Meghann Fahy in the cast of the upcoming series, “Sirens.” The show apparently follows a woman who tries to get her younger sister to quit her job because she worries that it has a creepy, cultish vibe. The series comes from showrunner Molly Smith Metzler, who is probably best known for her work on the drama series “Maid.”
Previous to this, Moore worked on TV series such as the Apple TV+ drama “Lisey’s Story” as well as the more recent “Mary & George.” Alcock is best known for her breakthrough role in HBO’s “House of the Dragon.” Fahy also had a breakout role on HBO, as part of Season 2 of “The White Lotus.”
It’s still too soon to know when we might see “Sirens” hit Netflix, but this cast makes the project one to watch out for.
Here’s the synopsis:
Devon thinks her sister Simone has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell. Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down to say WTF, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be. Told over the course of one explosive weekend at The Kells’ lavish beach estate, Sirens is an incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.
