San Diego Comic-Con proved to be a highlight for John Wick fans this year as Keanu Reeves himself appeared on the convention floor to promote the new John Wick pinball game. In collaboration with Lionsgate, Stern Pinball, Inc. unveiled this thrilling addition to their lineup, offering fans a unique way to immerse themselves in the world of the legendary assassin.
Fans at Comic-Con had the chance to step into the role of John Wick, navigating high-speed car chases and intense combat scenarios that define the franchise. The game featured dynamic AI combat and settings inspired by iconic locations from the films, such as the New York Continental Hotel and the Red Circle Club, all set against a dramatically lit New York City skyline.
Stern Pinball’s Pop-Up Arcade, located at the Marriott Marquis, was a hotspot for fans to play the game alongside other beloved Stern titles. Meanwhile, inside the convention center, the Stern Pinball booth showcased official props from the John Wick universe, providing a tangible connection to the movies.
But the real excitement centered on Keanu Reeves’ presence at the event. Known for his dedication to his roles and his fans, Reeves went head-to-head against himself in a special demonstration of the game, bringing Baba Yaga’s intense action to the pinball stage.
In addition to playing the game, fans got their hands on exclusive John Wick merchandise. This included John Wick x Stern Pinball T-shirts and a limited-edition LP album featuring the game’s original score, signed by composer Charlie Benante of Anthrax and Pantera fame. Only 500 copies of this album were sold onsite, so fans had to act quickly.
“Together with Lionsgate, we’ve created a thrilling, action-packed game that truly embodies the John Wick universe,” said Seth Davis, President and CEO of Stern Pinball, Inc. “We hold San Diego Comic-Con close to our hearts, and we’re having a blast working with Lionsgate to bring the franchise to this community in a new and exhilarating medium.”
The John Wick pinball games are available now through authorized Stern Pinball distributors and dealers worldwide. The Pro Edition is priced at $6,999, the Premium Edition at $9,699, and the Limited Edition at $12,999.
This collaboration between Stern Pinball and Lionsgate was not just a game; it was a full-scale event that thrilled fans and provided a unique, interactive experience that brought the high-octane action of John Wick to life. Those who attended San Diego Comic-Con were treated to an unforgettable experience, witnessing Keanu Reeves in action and immersing themselves in the world of John Wick.
