According to Netflix, “Beef” has officially been renewed for a season 2 and we already know who’s starring. The new episodes will star Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny. And for this season, the show will focus on two couples who are at odds with each other.
Here’s the synopsis:
A young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.
The four new actors are no strangers to TV work. Oscar Isaac appeared in the HBO series, “Scenes From a Marriage.” Carey Mulligan has appeared in numerous shows through her career. Cailee Spaeny was one of the main actors in the acclaimed drama series “Devs.” And Melton is probably best known for his TV work, appearing in the teen soap “Riverdale.”

The first season of “Beef” was a massive hit for Netflix, earning numerous awards including eight Primetime Emmys. The original episodes star Ali Wong and Steven Yeun. At the time of release, the show was thought to be just a one-off limited series. The idea of a second season was thrown around, but nothing was confirmed until more recently.
It’s still a bit too early to know when we might see the second season of “Beef” debut, but with the primary cast picked out, perhaps production will begin fairly soon.
