‘Project Runway’ Recruits Law Roach For It’s 2025 Reboot
Mar 24, 2025
Watch out, but Freeform and Hulu look like they might have figured out how to make “Project Runway” work in 2025. After snagging the distribution rights away from Bravo, this new incarnation of “Runway” recruited former Emmy-winning host Heidi Klum back into the fold. Now, the Disney divisions have announced the rest of the judging lineup which includes some familiar faces and the addition of superstar stylist Law Roach.

Snagging Roach is something of a coup for “Runway,” who can use his social media moments, but the stylist has been looking for a home. A fixture of Max’s gone too soon “Legendary,” Roach has guest judged twice this season alone on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” He is best known as a stylist for Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Celine Dion, and Tom Holland, among others.
Christian Siriano and Nina Garcia are also joining the panel for the competition series 21st season which begins production today. It will air first on Freeform and then on Hulu, likely the following day, this summer. Additional special guest judges will be announced at a later time.
As he has for the past four seasons, Siriano will once again take the role of workroom mentor. The iconic fashion designer has also been a credited host since season 17 (alongside Karli Kloss for two years), but it appears that role will just belong to Klum for now. Many fans were hoping Tim Gunn would return for this new incarnation but that does not appear to be in the cards. Both Gunn and Klum won the Outstanding Host for a Reality Competition Emmy in 2013 and were nominated six times overall until they left the series in 2019 for the short-lived Prime Video program “Making the Cut.”
Sirano is arguably the most accomplished alumni in “Project Runway” history. He’s designed original works for former First Ladies Dr. Jill Biden and Michelle Obama, former Vice President Kamala Harris, Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Julianne Moore, Lady Gaga, Tiffany Haddish, Billy Porter, Cardi B, Whoopi Goldberg, Julia Roberts, and Jennifer Coolidge. And he’s only 39 years old.
Garcia is still the editor-in-chief of the U.S. edition of ELLE. She has been a judge on “Runway” for every season so far.
Since debuting in 2004, “Project Runway” has aired in 125 countries and launched the careers of major designers such as Siriano, Austin Scarlett, Leanne Marshall, Irina Shabayeva, Michael Costello, and Bishme Cromartie.
