Can one detective solve the case of a lifetime? Former Scotland Yard detective Millie-Jean Black is about to discover in “Get Millie Black.” The limited series sees this respected sleuth facing a seemingly unsolvable case. What she discovers during her investigation could change everything.
‘Black’ hails from Booker Prize award-winning author Marlon James, who created the project and serves as executive producer. The acclaimed author reflected on its importance after major cast and directing announcements. “This is the first major international TV show to put my home country, Jamaica, center stage, so it’s beyond awesome to have actual world-class Jamaican talent both in front and behind the camera, with our star Tamara Lawrance and Ddrector Tanya Hamilton.”

The actress has appeared in several prominent series, including the recent BBC adaptation of “Mr. Loverman.” She’s additionally set to appear in the upcoming Nadia Latif film “The Man in My Basement.” “Get Millie Black” sees Lawrence star alongside Joe Dempsie, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr, and Chyna McQueen.
