It’s Time For The “Duhpocalypse” In Tease For Seth Rogen’s Upcoming Apple TV+ Series

Ready for the new trailer for “Duhpocalypse“?  What, never heard of it? Well, that’s because it’s not exactly a real movie, but it is one that fictional Continental Studios needs to get just right in Seth Rogen‘s upcoming Apple TV+ series “The Studio.”

Apple TV+’s big idea for the Big Game? Plug “The Studio” with the trailer for the fake zombie movie, which sees Johnny Knoxville and Josh Hutcherson face off against a diarrhetic zombie. After the 30-second teaser, series stars Rogen, Knoxville, Kathryn Hahn, Chase Sui Wonders, and Ian Barinholtz bicker about what their spot for “Duhpocalypse” should focus on: the feces or the film’s “deep and complex” subject matter.
If all of this sounds super-satirical, that’s because it is. Rogen stars in the series as Matt Remick, newly appointed head of Continental, who’s tasked with keeping the studio alive as the film industry faces an uncertain future.

In “The Studio,” Seth Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of embattled Continental Studios. As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their own insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films. With their power suits masking their neverending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting, and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe. As someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes movies, it’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him. 
While the main cast of “The Studio” features in the Super Bowl spot (except for Kathryn O’Hara), the ten-episode series contains a plethora of cameos, including Bryan Cranston, Paul Dano, Martin Scorsese, Zac Efron, Ron Howard, Charlize Theron, and many, many more.
Rogen creates “The Studio” with Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez. Executive producers on the series include Rogen, Goldberg, James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Josh Fagen via Point Grey Pictures.  Lionsgate Television is the show’s main studio.
