Badgley plays Joe Goldberg, a New York City bookstore manager who is also a serial killer who falls in love and develops an extreme obsession, as serial killers tend to do.
“YOU” first debuted on Lifetime in 2018 and would eventually move to Netflix for the second season and has since developed quite a large following since joining one of the largest streaming platforms in entertainment. Not a lot of Netflix shows stick around long enough to earn a fifth season, so, that is an impressive notch in their belt as well.
A synopsis for the final season comes to us from Netflix:
In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.
