Marvel’s ‘Vision’ Adds ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Actress Emily Hampshire As E.D.I.T.H. In AI Superhero Series

Jun 4, 2025

While Marvel Studios‘ “Ironheart” is set to be released on Disney+ later this month, the next big tech-based MCU show is gathering steam with casting underway on their second “WandaVision” spinoff show, “Vision.”
There is another compelling casting addition to “Vision” as Canadian actress Emily Hampshire, best known for “Schitt’s Creek,” the series version of “12 Monkeys,” and “The Rig,” has been confirmed by Deadline (after Daniel Richtman previously telegraphed the casting a while back) to play a new iteration of E.D.I.T.H., yet another AI character.

“Vision” takes place in the wake of the events of the previous two “Avengers” films, where the dead body of Vision is resurrected by the government agency S.W.O.R.D., which turns the Vibranium-laced robot into a government killing machine.
It’s starting to feel like “Vision” (also known as “Vision Quest“) is mirroring the witchy show “Agatha All Along,” which decided to focus on adding a bunch of Marvel magic users and witches around their titular lead, by adding a bunch of other artificial intelligence characters alongside Paul Bettnay‘s Vision with James Spader‘s Ultron, T’Nia Miller‘s Jacosta, and now with E.D.I.T.H. joining the series, too.
E.D.I.T.H. has been previously established in the MCU via “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” like Vision and Ultron started as one of Tony Stark’s creations, although, would likely be the first time we’ve seen her with a physical form.

Todd Stashwick and Ruaridh Mollica also have roles in the “Vision.” We’ll see the grand return of Faran Tahir, who previously played Ten Rings member Raza (adding to the connective tissue to “Iron Man“) that kidnapped Stark, forcing him to build advanced weapons for the terrorist organization.
