Netflix releases a trailer for foul-mouthed film Old Dads. From standup comedian Bill Burr, Old Dads follows three middle-aged friends who, upon becoming fathers later in life, have to deal with the trials and tribulations of having young children while undergoing midlife crises. Old Dads is set for release on Netflix on October 20.

Netflix has now released the first Old Dads trailer that can be viewed below.

Burr and his co-stars confront the disparate ideas from millennial parents, and business owners with their “carbon-neutral, gender-neutral, 21st century lifestyle brand.” In the hilarious trailer, the team sticks up for their children, against obstacles of tantrums and preschool principals.

What To Expect from Old Dads

The Old Dads trailer introduces main co-stars Bokeem Woodbine and Bobby Cannavale, who play Burr’s character’s dad friends in the film. Joining the Old Dads cast are Rachael Harris, Katie Aselton, C. Thomas Howell, and Natasha Leggero. In addition to directing and starring, Burr serves as a producer on the film as well as co-writer with Ben Tishler.

Old Dads marks the directorial debut from Burr, who has made a name for himself through his standup comedy career and through TV appearances. Burr played recurring roles on shows such as Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian, and has made guest and cameo appearances in other shows such as Barry and Reservation Dogs. In comedy, Burr is known for his defiance of the politically correct, and his non-nonsense, often ire-driven style.

From the trailer, it looks like Old Dads will fall in line with the comedy stylings that have elevated Burr’s career. Poking fun at hot-button topics like carbon neutrality and white privilege, the trailer alone pulls no punches when it comes to making contentious issues into gaffs. Followers of Burr’s career will appreciate this style, as Old Dads will give Burr the chance to have full creative control as he directs, writes, produces, and acts in the Netflix comedy.
