Aug 8, 2024

BTS band member Suga has said he is “deeply sorry” after being fined for driving an electric scooter under the influence.

The star of the K-pop band took to social media Wednesday to say he was “very heavy-hearted” to bring fans “disappointing news”.

“I rode an electric scooter home after drinking at a dinner last night,” the 31-year-old wrote. He siad he thought it was a “short distance” and didn’t realize that you can’t use an electric scooter under the influence, therefore violating road traffic laws.

“I fell while parking the electric scooter in front of my house, and there was a police officer nearby… I was given a breathalyzer test and subsequently had my license revoked and was fined.”
