After the massive success of her Netflix series, “The Queen’s Gambit,” it’s always felt like it was only a matter of time before Anya Taylor-Joy teamed up with the streamer again. Well, now we know which project that will be, an adaptation of the novel “How to Kill Your Family.”
According to Variety, Anya Taylor-Joy is set to star in and produce the upcoming series, “How to Kill Your Family.” Based on the novel of the same name from best-selling author Bella Mackie, the series tells the story of a woman who decides it’s a good idea to kill members of her estranged family.

“As soon as I turned the last page, I knew I had to be a part of bringing this story to life,” Taylor-Joy said. “After some (light) stalking of the inimitable Bella Mackie, I could not be more thrilled to be collaborating with the team that is Sally, Lizzie and Emma. I am looking forward to getting our hands even dirtier.”
It’s far too early to know when we might expect to see “How to Kill Your Family” on Netflix. But with Taylor-Joy attached, it’ll definitely be one of our most anticipated.
Here’s the synopsis:
Grace has a complicated family. Her dad is Simon Artemis; a billionaire and ruthless social climber. She’s the product of an affair he claims not to remember and Grace and her mum were left to fend for themselves. When her mother dies and she’s rejected by the very people who should love her, Grace transforms her anger into something useful: killing off this estranged extended family via morbidly creative means. Grace is clawing her way towards revenge and a hefty inheritance, but her mission only pulls her further away from what it is she really needs.
