‘Relay’ Director David Mackenzie Crafts a Riveting Thriller with Bombshell Twists

Director David Mackenzie spoke at length about the intriguing character dynamics in Relay, where the protagonists don’t meet until a tense third act. Mackenzie praises the stars Riz Ahmed and Lily James for their emotive focus while shooting many scenes alone. He also gives MovieWeb the dish on his next film, Fuze, a heist caper starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, Sam Worthington, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. ‘Relay’ will be released theatrically on August 22nd from Bleecker Street.
