Wakanda Forever Reported to Have Unusual Number of Post-Credit Scenes
Jan 3, 2023
There have been plenty of post-credits scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Black Panther 2 will join a minority group with its credits scene.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever looks set to round out Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with an emotional, and above all else highly praised MCU adventure. However, those who are expecting to see multiple post-credit scenes hinting at some of the things to come in Phase 5 may have to curb their expectations as it seems Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be joining the small number of Marvel movies to not deliver a double post-credits scene sting.
Following the premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, more details of the movie have become available, and without including any spoilers, the film’s single additional scene has been described as “sweet” and “really moving” in many reports. While this doesn’t seem to suggest that we will be getting the kind of teasing scene that will deal with anything the multiverse is about to throw at the MCU, but instead just a nice little sign off from a phase that has been all about transition and dealing with the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame.
MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY
The inclusion of just one credits scene in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever means that the movie with be just the fourth out of the last 19 Marvel movies to not have multiple credits scenes. Whether Marvel has purposely omitted a second scene is something that will only become known once the movie arrives in theaters on November 11, but with second scenes usually being something a little fun and throwaway, it could be a case that the film doesn’t really lend itself to that kind of final kick.

What Is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Post-Credits Scene?
Marvel Studios
That is a question that many people will be asked, but with reviewers not wanting to spoil the surprises of the movie, there is currently no details of exactly what the final scene of the movie will be. However, there have been plenty of theories based on the mention of it being “emotional” and “sweet.”
One of the most popular theories is that the rumored appearance of T’Challa’s son could happen in the final scene. This would certainly seal off the Marvel tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, and would fit with the description of the credits scene. While there are many other moments that could be featured in the scene, it is pretty certain that there will be some kind of final tribute to Boseman, which is one thing that the whole movie essentially is.
There have been many other rumors about potential post-credit scenes in the movie dealing with an introduction of Doctor Doom ahead of his expected inclusion in the Fantastic Four movie, or something that will hint at what is coming for the Wakandans or Namor as the Marvel Cinematic Universe heads into Phase 5. While none of these fit with the comments made about the single credits scene featured in the world premiere screening, it could be that Marvel have chosen to purposely hold back a second scene that could be too big for some to keep to themselves.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is released worldwide on November 11.
