Forget ‘Landman,’ Taylor Sheridan’s ‘The Madison’ Reveals New Trailer & First Look at Previously Unannounced Star

Jan 20, 2026

Fans of Taylor Sheridan were given a fleeting look at the master storyteller’s new series, The Madison, late last week with a series of stills from the show. Now, a first trailer has confirmed the previously announced release date of March 14 and shared a better look at the Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer-led series that looks to make Sheridan fans forget about Yellowstone and Landman and invest themselves in another new world. While several official cast announcements have been made, one name that was not included in any of them is Arrested Development star Will Arnett, who joins the series as New York City-based therapist Phil Yorn, who will make recurring guest appearances in the series. It once again proves that Sheridan knows how to put together an all-star cast, as with Arnett, Pfeiffer, and Russell, the series also includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, and Matthew Fox. The logline of the new series, which stands alone from Sheridan’s many other shows, describes it as “a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.” This puts it right into the same kind of category as many of Sheridan’s lauded shows, which often focus on family connections, even if they are spread over many miles. In The Madison, the Clyburns could become just as popular to viewers as the Duttons, and it is unlikely March’s first season will be the only time we return to this particular part of Sheridan’s universe. You can check out the trailer for the series below.
‘The Madison’ Is Something Old and Something New for Sheridan

Taylor Sheridan’s world-building has produced several franchises for Paramount+, none of which have quite matched the sprawling Yellowstone saga with its many prequels and future sequels. The streaming charts have recently been dominated by the second season of oilfield family drama Landman, which stars Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, and Demi Moore, and The Madison already has two seasons in the bag and could well be his next big family saga. The series has been described as the writer/director’s most intimate story so far, and sees the Clyburn family moving from Manhattan to Montana to restart their lives after an event that has caused matriarch Stacey Clyburn (Pfeiffer) “so much grief.” The loss she has suffered is hinted to be her husband, Preston (Russell), who is seen in the trailer in what appears to be happy flashback sequences in the show.

The series has plenty of similarities to some of Sheridan’s other family dramas, but rather than focusing on family legacies and busy ranches, the story is one that appears to be very personal and small scale despite it playing out against the sweeping backdrop of Montana mountains and rivers. The show will debut its first six-episode season on March 14, 2026, and the good news is that Season 2 has already completed filming, so there will not be long to wait for the next installment.
