Riley Keough Does Sex, Drugs & Rock N’ Roll In New Series Debuting In March
Jan 25, 2023
Cameron Crowe’s “Roadies” failed to strike a chord and create a TV series about 1970s rockers on the road and tales of sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll that audiences loved. But show creators Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (“The Spectacular Now”) are hoping their similar-sounding version, starring Riley Keough, will convince you otherwise with the new Prime Video series “Daisy Jones & The Six.”

Produced by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine and Brad Mendelsohn for Circle of Confusion, the series stars Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Camila Morrone, Will Harrison, Suki Waterhouse, Josh Whitehouse, Sebastian Chacon, Nabiyah Be, and Tom Wright, with a special guest appearance by Timothy Olyphant. The series follows the rock band through the ’70s LA music scene on their quest for worldwide icon status.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Based on the best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Daisy Jones & The Six is a limited musical-drama series detailing the rise and precipitous fall of a renowned rock band. In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers—Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin)—the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.
Today, Prime Video debuted the new teaser for “Daisy Jones & The Six.” Recently, they announced that the six-episode series would premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 3, with new episodes rolling out weekly every Friday through March 24. The series will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you’re in.
