Home TV News Sarah Michelle Gellar on Why She Joined Wolf Pack
Teen Wolf fans have a lot to celebrate this week, with the sequel movie and the new spin-off already available on Paramount+.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is back in the world of the supernatural, this time not to hunt vampires but werewolves in Wolf Pack, the Teen Wolf spin-off series now available on Paramount+, expanding the universe of the growing franchise.
Known for her portrayal of Buffy on the iconic late-’90s series, Gellar entered the list of iconic women at the helm of popular pop culture productions with a commanding character and fighting spirit. Characteristics that the actress repeats in her most recent role as Kristin Ramsey, a detective in charge of investigating strange events around mysterious fires in California.
However, it wasn’t the character’s similarities with Buffy that drew her to the role, but something deeper, as she revealed to DigitalSpy.:
MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY
“The werewolves are a metaphor for teenage anxiety. I think the conception of these characters was one of the reasons why I did love it so much, seeing a character that has acne on television like that. The whole idea is normalizing so many of these things. Normalizing anxiety, that was one of the themes that really struck me when I first read it, was dealing with teenage – and just adult – anxiety, in sort of different manner.”

The Return of Teen Wolf
Paramount+
Wolf Pack is not the only way Teen Wolf fans have to get the chance to return to the show’s universe. Paramount+ has also released a sequel movie that brings the return of Tyler Posey’s Scott McCall years after being bitten and turned into a werewolf.
In Teen Wolf: The Movie, a full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it, a terrifying evil emerges. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a Werewolf like Scott, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.
Along with Posey, original cast members Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Colton Haynes, Dylan Sprayberry, Khylin Rhambo, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, Melissa Ponzio, JR Bourne, Seth Gilliam, Ryan Kelley, and Ian Bohen are back, with newcomers Vince Mattis, Amy Lin Workman, Nobility Nakanishi.
Unfortunately, Dylan O’Brien’s Stiles is not in the movie, something that upset many fans, given the popularity of the character, which became one of the favorites.
